Demolition of newspaper publishing center commences to pave way for Bally's casino

In Chicago, Illinois, the US, a former Chicago Tribune building is being demolished to make way for a US$2 billion casino complex. The building was once used for newspaper publishing.

The first blow was delivered with a ceremonial brick-breaking by two excavators fitted with demolition attachments.

The US-based interactive entertainment, gaming, and betting firm Bally's Corporation is the one whose buildings are being demolished and whose new construction will house a 550,000 square foot complex with a casino,
