The progress of the Gambling Regulation Bill 2022 is advancing towards completion. Despite the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland not yet operational, over €2m has been spent.

Delays in legislation have hindered its formation. Minister of State James Browne mentioned the bill, emphasizing its extensive scope, including licensing, anti-money laundering, and child protection measures.
