Despite little play and no evidence of winnings, mystery shoppers deployed to four Ontario casino sites to evaluate money-laundering procedures were able to escape with a number of checks totaling more than $35,000, according to a report released on Wednesday by the auditor general.
As part of an investigation of Ontario's Lottery and Gaming Commission (OLG) carried out between January and September 2022, the AG separately employed the mystery shoppers.
