Do not engage in gambling in presence of your family

No matter how disciplined you are in gambling, do not be too proud of your gambling attitude to the extent of performing it with the full knowledge of your family. Let your gambling be assumptions to them. If you are so confident of your gambling, all your conducts in the family would be negatively related to be the result of your gambling involvement. And this is what would be causing strain relationship in the family.

I don't know whether to agree or disagree with this given that gambling secretly could be a sign of problem gambling. But it also makes sense that family members could judge and stigmatize you due to your gambling habits.

My suggestion is, learn to control yourself under stigma. They may be wrong or they could be right and looking out for you. So view it analytically and let it go if they are wrong.

It is not advisable to engage in gambling when your family is present. This can create a negative environment for both you and your loved ones. Gambling can be addictive, and can have a negative impact on relationships and finances. If you find yourself struggling with gambling addiction, it is important to seek help from a professional. There are many resources available to help people overcome this addiction, and with the right support, you can get back on track. Remember, your family should be a source of support and encouragement, not an audience for your gambling.

Yes if we can, we shouldn't be playing gambling to the knowledge of some family m. family members could judge and stigmatize due to their disdain for gamblers. We need to keep it away from children

It's wise to keep a level of privacy about gambling activities within the family. Even if you feel confident and in control, being too open about it can sometimes cause unnecessary tension or misunderstandings. Family members might attribute any negative behaviors to your gambling, potentially straining relationships. Keeping gambling more discreet can prevent judgment or concerns from affecting family dynamics, allowing you to manage both your personal interests and relationships in a healthy way.
