Do we need to hide our status as bettors?

In most countries, there is always societal stigmatization to people that always bet. People always see them as people that are not responsible. This has made some punters to be very secretive about their betting lifestyle.

Do we need to be hiding out status? I always believe that human in as much has reached the legal age should not be bothered about what the society say about what we decide to do with our money?

Though, I rarely place bet but I have never looked down on anybody that does it. I do see it as his or her choice and nobody's concern. What do you think?

In as much gambling is not restricted by the government in your region, then you don't have to hide your status as a gambler. You can only have a personal reason for hiding your status

I beleive that we can hide our status as betors because from what I see I think that people see those who bet as gambler and if you are careful I think some people will just say nagetive things about you so its adviceable you hide your identity as a bettor

I think this is the major reason why most people truly hide their identities. They always believe that people will see them as gamblers and that they won't be respected. But I don't think we should be bothered about that.

You will always find yourself hiding if it happens that you find yourself among the people who are religious and frowned at gambling and betting. But if you find yourself among the like minds you'll be proud to tell more about your winnings. I think the best thing is to stay away from something that you will be ashame of when you are doing it and gets no to other people in the public.

If you believe in anything you just have to stand by it you respective of what people think or perceive. you can only have problem if you come from the family that are religious and which they are scripture says that gambling is not good you will have no other choice than to hide what you are doing.

Most people hide their status so that people we not know that they're into betting, because here in Nigeria when anybody knows that you're into betting they sees that person as in responsible fellow, that's why so many people hide their status so as not avoid unnecessary criticism

It not everyone that will want people to know if he/her is into gambling or betting, they are lot of people out there playing gambling with out letting anyone else to know, it not because they are afraid of anybody but because of what people do say about betters

Even though, betting is not well acknowledged among the religion circles, yet it is not a crime to be engaging in betting. Consequently I don't need to be ashamed of presenting myself as a bettor. No police can arrest for being a bettor.
