I believe it's really good to bet on leagues and also betting on leagues that you are familiar with is really important , because through that process you would know the steps and directions of how the league is operating , so taking such decision is really important and good as well I think tho

This is not a strategy that I tend to adopt as a punter, not least because it is quite risky in general. I am not aware of the strengths and weaknesses of any team, and cannot ascertain anything with regards to their playing style
