As far as gambling strategies go, this is seldom well-liked by regular bettors. And I can see why.

Even though winning $10 isn't as exciting as winning $100, the short odds reveal who the majority of players think will win the game. When a large number of professional gamblers support one opponent over another, it's a warning that you won't likely beat the long odds.

Yes, there will inevitably be the odd occasion when something unforeseen happened. If there were no shocks in the game, it's not really gambling.
 
I am not a fan of this action in particular because it smacks of emotional immaturity where one stakes parlays based on attachment or affiliation to feelings. It is not ideal to wager these types of bets.
