Do I jaw with players or keep my distance? That's the question.
Engagement with players is good for business, no doubt about it. The more I chinwag with folks, the more I'm gonna learn what makes 'em tick. Their play styles, pet peeves, what have you. And the savvier I get at pitching advice and info their way.
Still, too cozy an affiliation ain't good for the health. Start looking out for any one player's interests too much and it'll cloud my judgment something fierce. I gotta remain objective as a zen master, giving it to 'em straight whether they want to hear it or not. Player preferences shift quick as a cat's tail, but honest, helpful gamblin' - that's forever.
So it's finding the sweet spot, see. Building rapport but keeping my professional cool. Making 'em feel familiar but not manipulating.
