Do you pay taxes on lottery winnings every year?

One thing that is very certain is that winning don't usually come regularly especially at the casino and online gambling. but the government don't want to know about this as they usually task every winnings made at the casino.

One of the questions I want to ask you guys is that do you pay taxes on lottery winnings every year? I will be glad if anyone here can tell me he's the experience about this.

In so many countries, you will have to pay taxes on winnings but in some certain countries like Nigeria, you don't need to pay taxes on any lottery winnings which means that you would receive the full amount you have won

No, i dont pay taxes on lottery winning in my own region, because it's not right for the government to do that, only if it's a develop country like usa and others, there are other African countries that don't pay taxes

I do not pay any form of revenue to the government from my lottery winnings because that directive has not yet been fully instituted and made operational in the country. Annually, I have not yet paid a dime

I dont think its compulsary to pay tax on lottery wining I have seen alot of people who win the lottery and they pay no tax .

I beleive that tax are for goverment workers but I dont know for some countries where am living we dont pay tax for lottery wining

Although there are actually some lottery platform that the government do charge directly and it's now left for the lottery platform or company to find a way to charge the company and others , there is a way many do this
