Do you prefer playing with a continuous shuffling machine or a traditional shoe?

When playing blackjack, the choice between a continuous shuffling machine (CSM) or a traditional shoe can impact the gameplay experience. Here are some considerations for each:

Continuous Shuffling Machine (CSM):

Faster Pace: A CSM allows for a faster pace of play since there is no need to pause for manual shuffling. This can lead to more hands being dealt per hour.

Constantly Shuffled Decks: With a CSM, the used cards are immediately returned to the shuffler, which continuously shuffles them with the remaining cards. This means that each hand is effectively played with a fresh shoe, making card counting strategies ineffective.

Reduced Card Clumping: A CSM reduces the likelihood of clumps or streaks of high or low cards, which can affect betting and strategy decisions. This can make the game more random and less predictable.

Because of this, I favor a continual shuffling machine. It decreases delay between hands and does away with the dealer's need to manually shuffle cards. When using a CSM, the dealer just reloads the machine with the used cards, and it will shuffle and dispense them into the subsequent round.

Knowing when the shoe is loaded with valuable cards is a skill and a strategic element that I find enjoyable. I and other players can use our knowledge of the remaining cards in traditional shoe-dealt games to make more strategic decisions.

While a CSM does make the game faster, it also eliminates the ability to count cards, which is a key strategy for many successful blackjack players. In essence, I prefer the traditional way
