I've been studying matched betting strategies for a while now and some people suggest you should avoid lay bets and stick to back bets for profit. What are your thoughts on this? Personally I think lay bets have their place and If you calculate the bookmaker commission and lay odds properly they should be just as profitable as a standard back bet. But I'm curious to hear some more experienced punters' opinions on lay bets. Do you think it's better to avoid them altogether or do they have a place in a matched betting strategy?
