Do you think it's better to play poker on weekdays or weekends ?

Weekdays, like Tuesday through Thursday evenings, tend to see smaller crowds and lower stakes games. This can be an easier time to learn or improve your game without as much money on the line. There are fewer distractions and drunks at the tables mucking things up. However, the games also have smaller pots on average since there are fewer players betting at each round. If big pots are your favorite part of poker, weekdays may leave you wanting more excitement.

Weekend nights, especially Friday and Saturday, draw the biggest crowds and highest limits. The action is fastest and loudest, with bigger bets and pots at every turn. However, there are also more drunk and erratic players that impact the play. You'll have to deal with more waiting for seats to open up between hands at popular tables. And the bigger blinds and limits mean more at stake with each hand, so there's extra pressure to make the right moves.

Afternoons on weekends, Saturday and Sunday in particular, often see players who are loose and more recreational. The games tend to play faster since people have the day off and want to keep playing in a relaxed, unpressured fashion. However, many players haven't fully embraced a strong poker strategy and fundamentals. Loose play usually means more mistakes and raises/calls out of position or with weak hands. There are also the most drunk players at the tables during these daytimes.

I would recommend starting at weekdays or weekends depending on what feels most comfortable. Once you get experience playing in different environments, you'll develop your own preferences for which times suit your skills and temperament best. The most important thing is not when you play, but developing solid strategy, intuition and discipline at each opportunity for play. The winning players adapt well to any table, regardless of who else is sitting down. Play experience is valuable, whether the blinds are small, big, loose or tight!

I believe that weekday evenings, such as those on Tuesday through Thursday, typically draw fewer players and have lower stakes. With less money on the line, this can be a better time to acquire or develop your skills. There aren't as many table-side distractions and inebriates messing everything up.
