I think the outcomes of previous events do not affect the odds of future events. This is known as the "gambler's fallacy." For example, if a coin is flipped and lands on heads five times in a row, the odds of it landing on heads again on the next flip are still 50/50. Each flip is an independent event, and the outcome of one does not affect the outcome of the next.
