Responsible gambling involves treating gambling as a form of entertainment and allocating only discretionary income that you can afford to lose without causing financial strain or negatively impacting your essential expenses and financial goals. Here are some key points to consider:

Entertainment Mindset: Approach gambling with the mindset of entertainment rather than a means to make money. Treat it as a recreational activity, similar to going to a movie or dining out.

Budgeting: Create a separate gambling budget within your overall budget. Allocate a specific amount of discretionary income to your gambling activities and stick to that limit. Do not exceed this budget or use money intended for essential expenses, savings, or other financial obligations.

Affordability: Only use discretionary income that you can comfortably afford to lose. This means setting aside money for gambling after covering all your necessary expenses, savings contributions, and other financial responsibilities.

Time Limitations: Set time limitations for your gambling activities and stick to them. Avoid gambling for extended periods, as this can lead to impulsive behavior and excessive loss.

Awareness: Be aware of your gambling behavior and its impact on your finances and personal life. Keep track of your wins and losses, and if you find yourself spending more than your budget or losing control, seek help.

Support: Reach out to family and friends for support, or consider joining a support group if you struggle with problem gambling. Many online resources are available to help you manage gambling responsibly, including self-exclusion programs and counseling services.

Overall, responsible gambling involves being aware, budgeting effectively, treating gambling as a form of entertainment, and seeking help if needed. It is essential to prioritize your financial goals and essential expenses over gambling activities and to approach it as a recreational activity rather than a way to make money.

I do not view gambling as entertainment, I view gambling as a way to make money, my sole aim is to make money and I always gamble with the amount I know I can afford to loss always to avoid unwanted loss of funds.

Unfortunately not many people are doing this despite the fact that, this is not practised. Most gamblers always see gambling as the most and the only way by which they can get money. This has really made them to lose more.
