Does a person's age affect how they play poker?

Age certainly ain't no indicator of a poker player's skill, though experience surely helps. I've seen young gunslingers come outta nowhere and wipe the floor with Players been at the felt for decades. Some old coots get so focused on past glory days their game goes soft, but don't fool yourself - there are grizzled veteran sharks that can smell weakness from across the table like a bloodhound.

A player's age just means they've either got more or less steam left in their pistols. Youth brings reckless abandon, while age brings a calculating cool. Either can be an asset, depends on the situation. But ultimately, a poker player's age ain't nothin' but a number - it's how they play the hand they're dealt that really matters. Skill and grit win chips, not seniority.
