Driver on way to work wins $50,000 lottery prize

On his way to work, a man from Washington, D.C., stopped to purchase a lottery ticket. He won $50,000, his second significant prize.

When he stopped at the 7-Eleven on North Point Boulevard and purchased a Money Drop scratch-off ticket, the professional driver informed Maryland Lottery officials that he was en route to pick up a passenger in Baltimore.

When he scratched off the symbol for the $50,000 top prize, the player claimed to be shocked.
