Dutch Gambling Authority confirms implementation of responsible gambling policies by casino operators

The successful implementation of the updated financial risk check regulations by licensed operators has been confirmed by the Dutch Gambling Authority.

The Dutch regulator implemented a new Responsible Gaming Policy in October of last year, which included stricter oversight of players' finances to enable operators to step in "real time" when needed to stop the harm caused by excessive gambling.

One of five essential conditions must be met within a calendar month for players to be deemed incapable of "bearing the financial consequences of their player behavior," according to the new texts.
