Dutch Gambling Authority detects unauthorized betting on youth matches by licensed entities

The Dutch Gaming Authority has stated that its systems have identified a number of unauthorized wagers.

Whether the violations were committed by operators, suppliers, or another pertinent business is still unknown because the companies involved have not yet been identified.

Because they featured younger players and "events" in the wagers, like cards or corner kicks, a total of seven games were flagged. These games took place in 2023–2024 and had global themes.

The Dutch Gambling Authority's findings emphasize the necessity for stringent oversight and compliance among licensed operators to prevent illegal practices and ensure responsible betting. This situation also calls for heightened awareness and proactive measures to protect youth athletes from the influences of gambling, ensuring that their well-being remains a priority in the sports community.
