Dutch Gambling Authority fines Unibet for allowing self-excluded gamblers on platform

Optdeck Service Limited has been fined €400,000 ($416,204) by the Dutch Gambling Authority for allowing players who are self-excluded to play at its Unibet brand. Players in the Netherlands can utilise the Centraal Register Uitsluiting Kansspelen, a self-exclusion tool, to prevent themselves from being admitted to both physical and virtual casinos. When a player seeks to register or log in to gambling websites, their BSN number is compared to the registration to do this.
