Dutch Gambling Authority investigates potential football match-fixing

A market-wide investigation into potential match-fixing risks has been launched by the Dutch Gaming Authority. The agency claims that gambling companies that offer wagers on sporting events are not permitted to do so for any sporting event, and that the investigation is focused on sports betting and amateur teams like the Toto KNVB Cup.

According to the investigation, different providers are not adopting the same countermeasures against betting manipulation, which could lead to increased chances of match-fixing.
