Dutch Gambling Authority provides further guidance on mandatory means tests

The Dutch gambling regulator has made it clear that it expects all companies operating in the country's market to verify the financial stability of players wishing to make large deposits.

As previously mentioned, means tests have been required in the Dutch market since October 1, 2024, and are used to ascertain how much players can afford to wager based on a variety of factors. In fact, operators nationwide are required to perform a test for any players wishing to deposit more than $311 as a result of the implementation of mandatory means tests.
