The updated Responsible Play Policy Rules for the sector will be enforced at a later time, according to a statement made by the Dutch Gaming Authority.
The gaming authority, in chronological order, requested input from pertinent gaming stakeholders on a series of rule modifications in December 2023, one of which included tighter duty of care guidelines for online gambling providers.
The regulator announced that it would be extending the deadline for publishing the amended rules until Monday, June 3, 2024, after receiving a lot of responses from the previous extension of the response period. The original deadline was set for early May of 2024.
