Alimaniere has been ordered by the Dutch gambling regulator to immediately cease providing its services in the Netherlands or face fines of €148,920 per violation. This enforcement action follows recent interventions by the regulator against three providers that violated new gambling sponsorship rules. Effective from July 2024, these regulations prohibit marketing to minors and young adults and restrict sponsorships to sports events only. The Dutch regulator’s actions underscore its commitment to ensuring compliance with stricter advertising standards in the gambling industry.
