Match-fixing reports have significantly decreased—by 85%, according to the Dutch gambling regulator's body tasked with investigating the practice.
After receiving 40 reports in 2022, the Sports Betting Intelligence Unit reported that in 2023 it had only received six.
In addition, the Sports Betting Intelligence Unit combats match-fixing by collaborating with law enforcement, ministries, and regulators. It reported that the Group of Copenhagen had sent it 29 signals regarding potential match-fixing.
