In Guernsey, reports of suspicious activity in the finance sector decreased by 25% last year, but the majority of these reports were still related to e-gambling.
According to its annual report, the Bailiwick's Financial Intelligence Unit received 2,031 reports of suspicious activity in 2023. Of them, 64% had been sparked by the online gambling industry.
From a peak of 3,600 in 2021, the trend declined further the previous year.
