Authorities said that during raids of gambling establishments in the county of Florida last week, $403K in cash was seized and 400 slot machines were disabled.
Following the court-ordered searches on Thursday, all of the gambling establishments were closed.
Authorities claimed that in addition to being locations for illicit gaming, the gaming dens were also linked to drug overdoses, robberies, and shootings.
According to officials, a large number of the gamblers at the establishments were elderly citizens or people with fixed incomes.
