The parent company of Encore Boston Harbor, Wynn Resorts, is looking for state approval to move the casino across Broadway to Everett. The first stage of the proposed project would add 142,000 square feet to the floor space, with the development's highlights including a WynnBet Sportsbook, a 979-seat theater, and a poker room.
Wynn received the approval of the City of Everett Planning & Development Board earlier this month. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission had previously determined that the casino could move its gaming operations to the roughly 17-acre site across Broadway.
