Entain has declared the opening of Bectha, a brand-new betting site specifically for the New Zealand market.
The introduction of the new brand, which targets younger demographics in the area, is being seen as a "direct response" to the growing threat posed by offshore betting operators.
Despite being managed by Tab and Entain, Betcha will not offer race betting to bettors. In contrast to Tab, only fixed odds will be offered, and the two platforms will operate independently, requiring current Tab users to create new accounts in order to access the Betcha platform.
