The draft of a common gambling harm markers framework from the EU Committee for Standardization has received positive feedback from the European Gaming and Betting Association.
In order to identify and stop compulsive behaviors, text proposals require that a set of indicators of gambling harm be described and taken into consideration for adoption by online gambling operators throughout Europe.
The project is based on an earlier proposal for the application of the same model of problem gambling identification principles made by the European Gaming and Betting Association. Academic institutions, gambling regulators, operators, and harm prevention specialists from throughout Europe will work together to create the harm markers.
