European Commission opens consultation on Italy's gambling rules

A consultation on the technical guidelines for Italy's proposed new framework for online gambling regulation has been made available by the European Commission. The procedure will solicit input on the potential effects of the new regulations, as is customary for legislative changes in nations that are members of the European Union.

The legislative reforms, which are currently in a required three-month standstill period until October 18, have reached their final phase with the opening of the consultation. This is done so that interested parties and other EU members can examine and comment on the proposals.
