European Gaming and Betting Association says new rules will benefit operators

The European Gaming and Betting Association has expressed its satisfaction with the completion of the European Union's new anti-money laundering framework. According to the organization, online gambling operators will gain from the uniform regulations and reporting obligations.

National provisions on oversight and the authority of national anti-money-laundering authorities, including their access to necessary and trustworthy data like beneficial ownership registers, will be included in the directive.
