The parent business of Facebook, Meta Platforms, is the most recent tech giant to face fines in Italy for violating a law prohibiting the promotion of gambling.
Meta has been fined $6.45 million in relation to their Instagram and Facebook accounts and profiles, as well as sponsored content that advertised games or betting with real money prizes.
