FanDuel fined for allowing illegal bets on April 1st

FanDuel is under investigation by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

FanDuel has been fined $2,000 by the gaming regulator for the Garden State for taking bets on mixed martial arts events that had already occurred. The brand, supported by Flutter, took 34 bets on March 25th, April Fool's Day, 2022, on mixed martial arts fighters.

Because the PFL bouts were recorded and aired on television and streaming platforms rather than being a live broadcast, FanDuel provided its customers with markets on the matches. The company blamed the error on a breakdown in collaboration with its data providers.
