Federal bill seeks to implement sports betting guardrails

State gaming authorities would have to change their sports betting regulations to include a number of requirements under the Supporting Affordability & Fairness With Every Bet Act. If approved and signed into law, the federal statute would force sportsbooks to perform "affordability checks" on patrons wishing to place sizable bets and restrict wagering to no more than five deposits in a 24-hour period.
