Fifteen people charged for match-fixing in Taiwan semi-pro basketball league

Ten former basketball players and five other individuals have been charged by Taipei prosecutors for their roles in a betting and game-fixing scandal. The prosecution has also requested that the court seize any potential illicit gains exceeding US$641,000.

A statement issued on Friday by the Shilin District Prosecutors Office revealed that certain players affiliated with the semi-professional Yulon Luxgen Dinos in the Super Basketball League were discovered to have participated in a gambling scheme, either directly or via friends.

The prosecutors office claimed that from December 27, 2022 to May 21, 2023, they were involved in SBL game-fixing.
