Final brief against Seminole Tribe monopoly filed

In the battle against the Seminole Tribe's online sports betting monopoly in the state, the Florida Supreme Court has received the last brief submitted. Observing that the aggrieved parties' attempts to obtain relief in federal court had failed before filing their state court appeal, the Florida governor claimed that the parties had no valid reason for the delay. As per a gaming compact endorsed by the Florida legislature and signed and approved by the federal government in 2021, the Seminole Tribe reopened its sports betting app for mobile devices on November 7 and offered live craps, roulette, and sports betting at its casinos on December 7.
