Finland warned against gambling overhaul by public health advisor

The government's overarching goals to introduce a new gambling regime have drawn criticism from Finland's Institute of Health and Welfare.

Finland plans to introduce a modern gambling regime in 2027. The Ministry of the Interior opened a consultation in July to get input from departments and agencies of the government.

The goal of Finland's government is to bring back its gambling laws in 2027 and break the' monopoly, allowing competition in the online gambling industry.
