Five people charged for alleged illegal gambling

Following the dismantling of an illicit online gambling operation by New York authorities, five suspects showed up in court.

The men were either Long Island residents of Suffolk County or Nassau County.

The arrests came after the Nassau County District Attorney's office launched an investigation into an alleged illegal online sportsbook in July 2023.

If found guilty, they could spend anywhere from five to fifteen years behind bars.
