Florida daily fantasy sports bill rejected by the Senate

A Florida bill pertaining to fantasy sports competitions has failed in the Senate.

A bill that attempted to legalize and regulate fantasy sports in the state while outlawing competitions against the house was filed in January, but it was not successful in moving forward in the Florida legislature.

For participants who are at least 21 years old, the bill established oversight for fantasy contests in the state by the Florida Gaming Control Commission.
