After winning a $10,000 prize in the Florida lottery, the lucky winner was overjoyed, but when the lottery claims office informed him that he actually owed the state money, he was disappointed. An oversight on the part of the state caused a lottery winner who was informed that he owed a debt to be uncertain about how much of his $10,000 prize he would actually walk away with. Like any lottery winner, South Florida resident Joe Cheung was ecstatic and in awe when he learned that he had won $10,000 in a scratch-off game. Cheung had gained unemployment insurance throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. He had been falsely informed by the state that he had received an overpayment and was indebted to the Department of Economic Opportunity for $7,800

It's certainly disappointing to learn that you owe money when you thought you were getting a prize, and it's especially bad if the error was the fault of the government. It seems that Joe Cheung will still get his prize money, but it's unclear how much of it he will actually get to keep after he repays the alleged overpayment.

well still he will get about $2k dollars that is not much as compared to $10k but still he can put it in business and can make a lot out of it actually to be honest indeed if he puts it in the right way in any of the business indeed actually .
