One of the two lottery winners who split the $494 million jackpot in October 2022 has come forward to claim their share of the money. The $494 million Mega Millions jackpot from the Oct. 14, 2022 drawing has been claimed, according to the Florida Lottery's announcement. A winning Mega Millions lottery ticket was purchased in Fort Myers weeks after Hurricane Ian devastated the southwest coast of Florida in September 2022. The jackpot's initial estimated value was $502 million
