Five distinct class action lawsuits have been initiated against MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment in the aftermath of the recent cyber-attacks. These legal actions assert that the casino operators exhibited inadequate measures in safeguarding customer data during the said attacks, leading to the suspension of MGM's operations and the subsequent ransom payments made by both operators. The lawsuits were officially lodged in the Nevada District Court and emphasize the plaintiffs' concerns over the potential sale of their personal information, including social security numbers, on illicit markets.
