A football club secretary received a suspended 20-month sentence for stealing €7,500 from the organization.
He had a gambling addiction when he used an ATM card that he had applied for without the club chairman knowing to steal €7,500 in cash from Drumcondra Football Club.
The secretary was completely honest when questioned by the police. According to the court, he was gambling problem at the time.
