Former Gucci marketing boss joins Fanatics betting unit

After serving in a comparable role at the Italian fashion brand Gucci for three years, an executive recently joined Fanatics Betting & Gaming as chief marketing officer, trading in couture for wagers.

It's a crucial moment when she joins Fanatics. The privately held company is relatively new to the US iGaming and sports betting markets, having made its name in sports apparel and merchandise. The company, which was valued at $31 billion in private markets last year, has strong financial backing and a well-known brand because of its catchphrase, "officially licensed everything," but it has had trouble capturing market share in the states where it provides betting.
