Formula 1 begins work on roads for Las Vegas Grand Prix

The lengthy, invasive process of turning some of Las Vegas' busiest public streets into 3.8 miles of track for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix has started. On November 16–18, sections of Las Vegas Boulevard, Harmon Avenue, Koval Lane, and Spring Mountain Road will host the 50-lap race and its preliminaries. On Sunday, construction on a section of Sands Avenue between the Strip and the future MSG Sphere started. Clark County, which oversees the Las Vegas Strip, signed a 10-year agreement with the Las Vegas Grand Prix in February despite not having the financial details.

Thing like this can't be ruled out. Any social event always attract development to occur to certain geographical locations. Like the case of this F1 Las Vegas grand prix, lots of development would be carried out by the planning committee for the successful running of the programs. They would not want anything that would cause hiccups to that program. Based on this, renovations would have to be done on the roads and tracks.
