Formula One set to review betting sponsors after latest controversy

Formula One is thinking of outlawing all online betting-related advertising on its platforms as more nations start to crack down on the activity.

The problem is expected to escalate this weekend before the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort, where the Sauber team, whose main sponsor, the gaming company Stake, is having a lot of administrative difficulties.

Before a company can advertise on Dutch territory, it must be duly registered in the country according to gambling laws. Sadly, this is untrue for the Stake that is based in the Caribbean.
