Forte remains heavy favorite in Kentucky Derby as field starts to take shape

The final three significant prep races took place on Saturday, putting us four weeks out from the Kentucky Derby and giving us a good idea of who will be vying for the roses on May 6. Even though two favorites had thrilling victories—Tapit Trice in the Blue Grass Stakes and Practical Move in the Santa Anita Derby—neither of them were remarkable enough to unseat Forte as the presumed favorite for the Kentucky Derby. To be really honest, it was going to take a lot to even consider that. Forte will probably be a popular betting option when the horses enter the starting gate at Churchill Downs, if he stays healthy.
