Four sportsbooks pull out of mission to legalize online sports betting in Nebraska

The battle to legalize online sports betting in Nebraska has been put on hold by the four biggest sportsbooks in the country.

The sportsbooks would have to launch a ballot initiative to put the matter before voters this November because state legislators in Lincoln are unwilling to enact legislation that would permit sports bets to be placed online from within the state's borders.

It could have cost up to $7 million to gather the necessary 122K signatures from locals and start a public relations campaign to counter antigambling forces, according to the sportsbooks and tribe.

The companies must have definitely taken their decision after a careful analysis of the matter in a thorough approach they must have considered the costs associated with the subject required for the approval of the plan in the industry and their for when they have neglected because they have thinking that the cost is a significant one and it does not benefit their business so definitely that is why they have taken the decisions against the plan in my opinion
