The illegal casino that was housed in a former medical facility in Saanich has been shut down, according to confirmation from British Columbia's gang unit.
The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit BC reports that a raid on what it refers to as a “illegal gaming house” in Saanich resulted in the arrest of fourteen individuals.
The former Cook and Quadra Medical Clinic building was discovered to have been effectively transformed into a "casino" inside the now-vacant structure.
Police tape was used to block off the area in photos taken at the scene, and cars were once being towed out of the area.
