French gambling regulator begins auditing to account for €90million tax increase

In order to counteract the French gambling taxes that will go into effect on July 1, 2025, Groupe Française des Jeux has started a multi-year action plan.

French senators adopted a new gambling framework at the end of 2024 that was suggested by the former prime minister's 2025 budget.

In order to raise an additional €500 million from French gambling operators, the government approved tax increases for all betting and gaming activities in France as part of the Social Security Funding Act.
